Round 2

Due 05.30.11.
Another super Christopherson baby.

The word on the street is that we're not going to find out the baby's sex, so be patient.
(but doesn't it look like a girl?)

The 2nd photo really freaks me out. I don't like this 4D stuff.

Cabin Fever

This is what you do on the day after Thanksgiving when you have no money to spend and no family around. If you want to get out of the house you take your baby to the grocery store to play in the paper goods aisle.

I took this video on my phone, so the quality is very poor. Please note Jones' special slow groove dance moves at 0:11.

Thanksgiving Day

We were pretty bored after the Turkey Bowl so we decided to watch one of our favorite holiday films. Jones ate crackers and everyone was in heaven.

Take a wild guess...

I asked Jones to say "Happy Thanksgiving" and this is him trying.

We had a wonderful time with our friends, the Carlsons, and thank them for inviting us over for their feast.

Winning team: Scott's team (duh)
Time Jones and mom lasted on the field: 60 minutes

Just because it's made with love...

...Doesn't mean it will taste good. Ask Scott. Undercooked and underwhelmed. Maybe next time.

Winter

A taste of his dancing

The good stuff gets cut off pretty quickly because Jones sees the camera and all his efforts turn to acquiring it for himself.

Bath time

Videos of Jones seem to be the most popular thing on the blog, so I'll keep posting them to satisfy my many readers. Wink.

A word of caution to the sea sick

Scott and I were able to get away at the end of our stay in Thailand and do some relaxing (much needed) for a couple days. The overall trip was pretty stressful and boats rides like this were one of my favorite things that we got to do.

Our last day in Thailand

I finally found the charger for our small video camera, so I'll be posting some old videos from Thailand and some new videos showcasing the ever talented Jones.

Jones and I rode one of the bigger elephants earlier in the week, but didn't get any photos. I'm not sure Jones cared much for them.

So, what do you do?

I get this question a lot, even from people who know I stay home to raise Jones. I never know what to say in response. I...clean the house...and cook...and play with my son...and spend my free time ushering in world peace? Based on "the question" I assume I'm supposed to be doing something worth talking about. The only thing I can think of is doodling silly sketches, so I'll start there. To develop this hobby (?) I've started a blog to hold all of my drawings. Feel free to stop by or become a follower. Just click below. Enjoy.

"Req-liss"

Req-liss. It's Jones' new thug name, so recognize. I chose the unfortunate pairing of pants and sweater, but Jones accessorized by himself. I'm not joking.

Coming out of a 360 flare. He's been part of a break dancing crew for a few months now.

Mad style.

He don't let no snotty nose slow him down. His sweater says it all. "Genuine".

Keepin it real.

Christmas Wish Part II

Grandma JuJu made a good point today when she told me that everyone might get Jones the same gift for Christmas based on the last post about his sour attitude. Those toys are actually what I got him for Christmas, therefore if you're so kind as to think about Jones around the holiday season, don't buy those. :)

If you feel so compelled to get a gift for Jones, I have some general ideas below. I really don't like coming up with gift ideas for other people (selfish?), so I thought I'd make it easy for you gift givers. You can click on the photos below for more details. Jones also likes cars. If you're feeling practical, he needs some size 6 winter boots. Or, just give us a call on Christmas. That would be a great gift.

Magic Hours

Excellent new skills:

1. Makes 3 animal noises: dog, lion and elephant
2. Says "dog" and "shoe"
3. Sticks tongue out and says "aaah" when I ask what's in his mouth
4. Climbs the kiddie slide alone

Christmas Wish

Today Jones told me that if he didn't get the following toys for Christmas that he would probably drop out of school, turn to a life of crime and die a bum. I told him he was overreacting and that if he kept talking that way Santa would only bring coal for Christmas.

Meat boat

Friday Family Night. Dinner at Laredo's. Worst combo plate of Mexican food I've ever had. I could barely sleep that night as I obsessed over the injustice of my meal and how I should have sent it back. Other than that, we had a great time...even though Jones looks frightened. Maybe it was the huge mural.

Distracted by the walls.

Note the McDonald's in the upper right.

Fitting right in with his boots.

Too bad my son doesn't care about me. He's still taken with the walls.

And finally, the tragic meal. I ordered a tamale, a burrito and an enchilada. My thought was that Jones would split it with me. Too bad it was just a giant meat boat. The burrito was filled with ground beef (as you can see from my dissection) and that's it. Nothing else. Same with the enchilada. Some variety came in the carnitas filled tamale...but it was topped with ground beef. So gross. I felt sick when we got home. Huge mistake.
