A nice breakfast wasted

I had just finished doing my hair and putting on some makeup. I checked the next bus time and put some food into my purse for lunch. Before grabbing a coat, I picked up my cheap, electric toothbrush and went to town. Things always get a little gaggy at the end of my teeth brushing when I brush my tongue. I have to brush my tongue and refuse to skip this step. I was almost finished when I suddenly noticed that I had been too enthusiastic in my quest for fresh breath and clean teeth. A small wretching feeling jumped through me as I rinsed my toothbrush. Without having time to scoot over to the toilet, my delicious, healthy, high-protein/high-fiber breakfast appeared before me. Dang it. The bus was coming and I still had to clean out the bathroom sink. Great way to start a Thursday.

Scott & Ira

This is the adorable baby from our ward that Scott watches occasionally. His name is Ira. He was just with Scott for about an hour or so today. Ira likes sitting on the couch with Scott, eating rice cereal and falling asleep. Scott was with him by himself today and he said that everything went well. Nice job, Scott.

Acting my shoe size

I listen to talk radio a lot as it keeps me entertained throughout the day. I just heard the host of the show I was listening to call someone a dummy and it made me laugh out loud. I guess I really am that immature. For some reason using the word "dummy" as an insult is great comedy to me. I can't help myself.

What I did at work today...

1. I received a nice Walgreens present from coworkers Jodi and Tara (note: bag of Swedish Fish from Grandma Marge on left side...yum).

2. I defrosted the work freezer with a hammer on my lunch break. The freezer was literally one large block of solid ice (Tara helped me clean it off the stairs so as to prevent any mishaps).

Good day today.

It's a Mister!

Excuse the blurry photo, I've been too lazy to scan it. I've known for months that the baby is a boy so I wasn't surprised at all. I don't know how I knew, but whenever I thought about the baby it seemed like a boy. The sonographer couldn't get a profile shot, which left us with one option: the creepy shot. Oh well, at least we know that Cletus the Fetus isn't camera shy. And with his dad's proclivity to film everything, he's a lucky boy.

Scott and I are SO excited to be having a boy and I can't believe that this whole thing is really happening. Scott watches a 10 month old baby boy in our ward from time to time and he is fantastic with him. He always gets him to fall asleep and has no problem hanging out with him for hours. Despite the somewhat difficult year this has been for us so far, I think that 2009 is going to be great.

Scott thinks I should compose a book of my Bus People photos, but I don't know if the quality of the photos (being from a camera phone) are good enough to be printed. I wish I had a bag that was rigged to hold a camera and take photos without anyone noticing. Blurg.

Baby belly: 18 weeks

I'm really starting to show now.

Bus Drivers

Sometimes I get really frustrated with the bus driver. Actually, it happens almost daily. I find that they just aren't moving fast enough, they're spending too much time at stops and they wait for all the old people running to catch the bus, yet they never wait for me. They're probably doing the best they can...blah blah blah, but apparently it's not up to my standards. I try to hold in the annoyed sighs and exasperated grunts, but they sneak out too easily. I'm attempting to be more chill on the bus because if I don't calm down, people are going to permanently label me a grouch (something that has likely already happened).

It's a good kind of disease

What is Ullmanitis? It's a communicable disease of the brain usually occurring as a metastasis from the heart; symptoms include giving away your clothes, selling furniture at a discounted rate, letting people borrow your car, sharing leftover macaroni and cheese, and dry eyes. Modes of transmission: airborne and direct contact.
