...of posting actual updates and commentary on life? A big baby boy is what happened. And that baby boy is confusing the heck out of me. If Jones could talk, these are a few questions I would ask him:
1. Why do you sleep through the night in Utah, but rarely at home in California?
2. Are you allergic to cats?
3. What do you hate so much about naps?
4. Are you really still hungry or are you mad because you're teething?
5. Do you feel weird wiping your drool all over your face?
6. Are you going to pick up any of the Thai that your daddy is teaching you?
7. What do you want?

Reading the Book of Mormon in Thai with popsSigh. I'm trying very hard to get Jones to bed before 8:45 PM, but he keeps going down fighting for his last nap around 6:30 PM until he zonks out like a rock and sleeps for hours despite the noise I'm intentionally making around the house that would otherwise wake him up immediately.
An elaborate blanket creation designed to get Jones to sleep in the first month.
I'm working my last 30 hour week at work and I'm looking forward to spending more time with Jones and helping him with his naps and bedtime routine. When I work until 6 PM I feel like I can't adjust his feeding schedule as well as I'd like to so that bedtime is nice and early. I feel certain that he needs an earlier bedtime (sorry, Mallory, I know this means that he'll be in bed before you even get home from work. here's to you not working soon).
I believe its about time for Jones to have a crib. He's getting close to rolling, although he only tries to roll in protest when I lie him on his tummy for naps. All other roll-teaching sessions look like Jones practicing to be a rock. The cradle he uses is conveniently small for our apartment, so I'll be sad to see it go. Scott wants me to buy a new crib because we saw a news story about drop side cribs that kill babies...or killed
one baby or something. I like purchasing from craigslist, so I don't know who will win the battle. I say we buy a
non-drop side crib off craigslist. Compromise, right?
Mini crib that would fit well in our small spaceIn an ideal world I would also get
this bedding collection...way too expensive. And not available in a mini crib size. Blurg.
