So it's not just baby feet

Had my regular appointment with the doctor today (30 weeks) and we discussed the annoying and constant pain in my left rib I've been having for a couple of months. Apparently it is likely that I have something called costochondritis and we can't treat it with meds during the pregnancy. So I can get pain meds if I want them, but I've opted not to for now. May change my mind later on. My blood work also showed that I'm anemic. Therefore, I'm on iron pills starting today as well as a steady diet of red meat enforced by Scott.

Costochondritis causes pain and tenderness in the locations where your ribs attach to your breastbone (costosternal joints). Often the pain is sharp, though it can also feel like a dull, gnawing pain. Pain associated with costochondritis occurs most often on the left side of your breastbone, though it can occur on either side of your chest.

Other costochondritis symptoms may include:

Pain when taking deep breaths

Pain when coughing

Difficulty breathing

That about sums it up...

maybe that's what i've got. or maybe it was the fact that i was wearing WAY too small of a bra for waaaay too long. either way, sharp pains are not appreciated.
