Far far from Wisconsin

We both have double chins, but I'm hiding mine.

Booger nose.

I imagine Jones is also holding an iPhone and is scrolling through his apps.

The one thing small enough for Jones to boss around. A dirty rock.

Captured.

The day ended with some serious baton twirling practice. Please tell me Jones isn't going to go in that direction in high school.

Gym Rat

While in Citrus Heights Jones took a toddler gym class at Tricks and loved every second of it (except for the part when fellow classmate Carl squeezed Jones' face with all his might). His most favorite activity of all was the trampoline.

Delayed

After a 3 1/2 week trip to Utah and California we arrived home exhausted and shortly thereafter got a really sick baby. I've never had a really sick baby and I had no idea it was so tiring. Clingy, fussy, coughing, sad, baby. I've also been feeling more pregnant lately, which weighs me down and makes me take afternoon naps when otherwise I would be blogging or doing something more interesting than watching lame reality TV shows. Jones is starting to feel better, things are slowly moving back to normal and I hope to rally myself and get the drawings a-going. It's 7:40 AM and I can hear him singing in bed and sneezing occasionally, so I guess that's my cue. Here goes another day.

Birth control

So I just saw a birth control commercial for a drug called 'Beyaz' and I thought it would be really funny if it was called 'Beyotch' instead. That's all.

Aren't you a J.Crew model?

Jones loves a good game of dress up and seems to have chosen a very rugged yet classy look today. He's developing his own signature line.

It's cold.

But he's got a new hat. So that's pretty great.

Cabin Fever

Spending the weekend indoors because Jones and I are sick and disgusting was not our idea of celebrating the first snow of the season. So I forced Scott to take us outside for a few minutes today so we could breathe in some fresh air and frolic in the snow. It was as refreshing as I had hoped it would be and I can't wait to do it again. Maybe next time we'll have our own sled and we won't have to "borrow" one that happens to be sitting out by the mailboxes.

May this photo stand as proof to my father that I do in fact own a warm coat and a pair of winter boots. I know he's always worried that I'm going to run around in flip flops all winter like I did at BYU.

It's okay to force feed your child snow, right? Because I think it was clean. Pretty sure.

How could I leave out the festive Chinese baby come to bring us holiday cheer and good luck?

Christmas countdown

In the spirit of starting our own Christmas traditions, we decided to make a Christmas countdown chain tonight listing all of the things each of us enjoys about Christmas. Jones' list included shredding paper and clapping (his activities during the assembly process). As soon as the chain was completed Jones tried to destroy it. Of course.

I gave Scott the task of taking a picture of the three of us with the chain and the photos below are the best he got. Our baby hates us. And probably Christmas too.
