Adventures in the city

While the Nylands were here we took advantage of spring break and hit up some touristy spots in the city. First stop, the "Full House" shot.

Next, just outside the Botanical Gardens in an area I like to call "San Francisco's redwoods". We had some time to kill while we were waiting for Scott to come back from the lavatory.

Shakespeare's Garden.

Under Dog restaurant. They serve a fine hot dog. And if you'd like some marijuana education for your children on the side...they serve that too. Jones wasn't too interested in the "It's Just a Plant" book I was reading to him. I'll consider that a good thing.

We also took the train downtown to experience a bus tour of the city. Jones was a model baby on the train and rode it like a born and raised San Franciscan (hmmm...which he is).

Our bus tour just happened to take place on the only really rainy day last week. We couldn't miss out on experiencing the upper level of the bus, so we bundled up and did our best to keep Jones dry and keep ourselves...well, entertained. It poured for at least 15 minutes and somehow Jones fell asleep under daddy's poncho during the wet ride.

Fortunately the day brightened up and we were able to finish the bus tour without enduring another rain shower. Lessons learned: 1) always bring the stroller, 2) Jones is a good baby during outings, and 3) getting wet isn't the end of the world.
