It was sunny and clear outside and I was finally getting my butt out the door to go for an AM walk. I changed my work schedule almost 2 weeks ago so that I would have time to go to the beach in the mornings and exercise. Up until this morning, laziness has lulled me into an extra hour of sleep. However, had I known that I would step onto the sidewalk and feel like this...
...I would've pulled myself out of bed long ago. If Mr. Roger's trolley pulled up at 46th and Taraval this morning instead of the MUNI 18, I would have happily jumped aboard to the Neighborhood of Make Believe. I wanted to tip my imaginary hat at everyone I walked by and chat with hand puppets King Friday and X the Owl.
I don't know why this morning felt more jolly than any other morning (no, I did not engage in a mind-altering substance). I'm not going to question it any further. I'm just going to hope that it happens again tomorrow.
