This napping photo might not look too exciting to you, but boy howdy it's exciting to me. Jones has been fighting his naps (crying for at least 60 minutes) almost every day for the last month. I changed up our morning routine a bit this morning...and voila. It took him about 20-25 minutes to fall asleep, but there was no crying. He just talked to himself, pulled at his socks, ate his feet and then fell asleep on his side. He has never slept without a blanket or swaddle, so this is pretty amazing. I could go on and on.

I love the stray sock that didn't survive the battle with his chubby, little hands.

Just keep playing with naptime. Thats what we had to do. Both my kids would take a very early nap, like seriously an hour and a half to two hours after they would get up. And then a later nap around 3. But every child is different. I really liked the No cry sleep solution by Elizabeth Pantley. I HATE the babywise series, but of course every parent finds what works for them. The no cry basic strategy is routine. Do the same things every day before nap so that he starts to relax when that time comes. Good luck Mama. You will find what works for you ever eventually. And of course, every time you do, it changes. :) Love you guys!

Whitney,
Your SUPER BLOG is awesome! Try a musical mobile with some little tunes in his crib. Katie always loved it and would smile when naps
